I realize this isn't SG, but it still affects all of us. According to this video, Obama is ineligible for the Presidency:
If what this video says is true, I wonder what will happen. To my knowledge, this has never happened in a Presidential race before. I wonder if that means McCain automatically wins, or the Democratic Party chooses another candidate.

Aaron,
Just FYI, the reason McCain's campaign hasn't been pushing this is that there is also a legitimate challenge to McCain's eligibility.
McCain was not born in the United States, either; he was born on a military base in Panama, I believe. It's definite he was born there; Obama's origin place is disputed.
Current legal thought is that military base babies should count as natural born citizens for the purposes of the Presidency, but legal thought has gone both ways and there have been times when it was not thought so. So so that he is not himself possibly disqualified, McCain has not been pushing the issue.

Thanks Daniel. McCain's eligibility was mentioned in the video as well, and Mr. Berg is claiming that McCain is indeed eligible. It does make sense not to push if the legal thought is both ways.
BTW, I fully agree with current legal thought that McCain is and should be eligible for the Presidency.
At the same time, realizing that it is open to challenge, I can completely see why it doesn't make sense to make an issue of it.
My thoughts exactly.
